THE PIG-on the beach is a mellow country house, a real get-away location, with stunning views out across Studland Bay
Designed in the same shabby chic style that has become THE PIG’s signature, the hotel features the Kitchen Garden Restaurant, private room for dinner parties, indoor and outdoor bar and a wood fired oven serving a choice of Flatbreads.
The Roundhouse which is available for dinner parties is totally unique and very intimate. Overlooking Old Harry Rocks, this 12 person thatched summerhouse is located 50 metres from the main hotel adjacent to the kitchen garden.
In summer choose to dine inside or out, then take a walk around the gardens. You can also follow the path down to the beach and dip your toes in the fresh waters of Studland Bay. In winter, the roaring log fires will keep you toasty warm as you enjoy your mouth-watering meal.
The kitchen is overseen by Chef James Golding and Head Chef Andy Wright who’s two key lieutenants aren’t their sous chefs but forager and kitchen gardener. What can't be grown in the Kitchen Garden or extensive vegetable and fruit beds, is foraged or sourced locally - a further commitment to the 25 mile menu. The Kitchen Garden team work hand in hand with the chefs every day to make sure every plate is touched by the freshest and most authentic flavours.
You can stay at THE PIG - on the beach in Studland, with a range of room sizes from small and snug to comfy and luxurious. As well as staying within the main building itself, the Pig on the Beach has two shepherd huts tucked away at the bottom of the garden overlooking the glorious stretch of coast. There are also two dovecotes, 'The Bothy' and 'The Lookout' for more secluded luxury.
