Situated in the picturesque South Downs village of Ditchling, the museum offers a fascinating look at contemporary & traditional arts & crafts
The museum holds an internationally important collection of work by the artists and craftspeople who were drawn to the village at the beginning of the 20th century, including sculptor, wood-engraver, type-designer and letter-cutter Eric Gill, calligrapher Edward Johnston, painter David Jones, printer Hilary Pepler and weaver Ethel Mairet. The museum produces a changing and dynamic programme of traditional and contemporary exhibitions and workshops.
The museum offers disabled parking spaces at the back of the museum (access via Church Lane), and a spacious platform lift to change levels from the Café/Shop to the main museum.
