This stunning wetland nature reserve full of amazing wildlife is also home to a collection of ducks, geese and swans from wetlands around the world.

Arundel Wetland Centre is part of the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust, a charity saving wetlands for wildlife and people. Arundel Wetland Centre manages wild habitats to support Sussex wildlife and bring visitors nose to beak with nature with a collection of ducks and geese from wetlands around the world.

Seasonal trails highlighting the best of the wetland nature are  on as part of a year-long partnership between renowned illustrator Sir Quentin Blake and the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust.  The Drawn to Water spring/summer trail includes imaging life in a nest, watching for kingfisher families and hunting for dragonfly larvae.

Throughout the partnership with Quentin Blake, Arundel Wetland Centre will run three seasonal trails with guides using selected, little seen before illustrations of watery nature from Quentin Blake to help inspire visitors to view the wonder of wetland nature in a different way. These trails will run alongside a range of art and illustration activities to inspire all ages and abilities, helping everyone experience nature in new, unexpected ways.

Explore the Coastal Creek walk through aviary while diving sea ducks, graceful waders and cheeky mergansers float, feed and fly around you.

Take a peek at Pelican Cove to meet the Dalmatian pelican - the rarest and largest pelicans with a wingspan up to 11 feet!

Kingfishers and sand martins have made homes in our nesting banks and we can't wait to see what hatches! Keep an eye out for wild lapwing chicks, greylag goslings and ducklings of all stripes.

One of the best ways to experience wetlands is on the water of the Wetlands Discovery Boat safari. Glide effortlessly through the reeds to see nature at its most tranquil. Boats are wheelchair accessible.

On the Reedbed Boardwalk the wooden decks and bridges immerse you in a peaceful world of towering reeds among the summer warblers and dancing dragonflies.  In winter watch out for majestic marsh harriers on the wing.

The wetland centre runs a full schedule of family events in holidays and on weekends. The Raised Pond Dipping station is open from May 28 on weekends and holidays! The Water’s Edge café is open with hot and cold snacks and drinks to fuel your wetland adventure with indoor and outdoor seating. Families can use our well-spaced picnic benches and our kiosk near the boat jetty is open in summer.

The Gift Shop is open offering a gorgeous selection of gifts, fun toys, informative books and good value bird food and feeding accessories. We ask all visitors to please book in advance online.
