A great day out at Dorset's multi award-winning theme park
Dorset’s multi award-winning family theme park, Adventure Wonderland, with its great range of rides and attractions is the perfect spot for an unforgettable day out. Family favourites include Jungle Falls log flume, Wild Bill's Runaway Train, The Ghostly Galleon and the Turbo Teacups.
The park, opposite Bournemouth Airport, takes its inspiration from Lewis Carol’s timeless classic, Alice in Wonderland and children love getting to know the resident characters Alice, Mad Hatter, Queen of Hearts, Mr Rabbit and the cheeky Cheshire Cat. Throughout the year the park welcomes a number of fabulous visiting characters for the day. The park also welcomes characters from local holiday parks, like Shorefield, and our friends at Wave and Heart radio drop-in too.
The park is set within wonderful parkland with the largest natural hedge maze on the South Coast with 1 ½ miles of pathways – perfect for an adventure. There is also the ever-popular Shetland World where you can pat and stroke the pint-sized ponies. And that’s just outside.
There’s also the vast indoor Aztec adventure play centre, Wild Thing! with even more activities including the fantastic Montyzoomer’s Ball Firing Thunderdome! Plus, new live shows in the weather beating Happydrome Theatre.
Easter, Halloween, Christmas and all the school holidays are always extra special times at Adventure Wonderland, so follow the park on Facebook or checkout the website, adventurewonderland.co.uk to keep bang up-to-date with the latest events.
We welcome visits from guests with disabilities and do everything possible to ensure they have a safe and enjoyable visit. We offer registered disabled customers a combination membership or park ticket, both of which are discounted and include a free carer admission. The carer can be an adult or a ‘registered’ young carer (proof required). The carer can be a different person on any visit and is not required to be named on a membership.
Our Park Accessibility - Paths around our main attractions are tarmac and level. (where possible) Car Park spaces are provided close to the ticket booth. Our restaurants, gift shops and the Happydrome Theatre are wheelchair/mobility scooter accessible. Disabled access toilet facilities are available. A limited number of manual wheelchairs are available to hire on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis.
Outside Rides and Attractions - Several rides are unsuitable for wheelchair users or customers with heart, neck, or back conditions, or expectant mothers. On many of our rides, customers must be capable of bracing themselves in an upright position. We strongly recommend that you watch the ride in motion before making the decision to board. We do not operate a queue jump system at our park.
Our rides and attractions are designed for smaller children, so their ride length is much shorter than the bigger theme parks. This in turn keeps the queues shorter.
Wild Thing! Indoor Play Centre - There are 3 low entry points in to the play structure, with low level interactive play equipment.
