Chough's Nest Hotel in Exmoor National Park, is a charming family-run hotel situated on the cliffs of the stunning North Devon coast.

Located on North Walk and the coastal path, but within easy reach of Lynton and Lynmouth, you can enjoy a restful stay in rooms which feature some of the best sea views in Exmoor and Devon.

Built in 1860 as a holiday retreat for a Victorian family, our guest bedrooms with their king sized beds, individual charm and captivating sea and coastal views, promise complete serenity and a peaceful stay. 

Fortified with a full English breakfast, served in our dining room, you will be set to enjoy a fine days walking or sightseeing in the Exmoor National Park or surrounding Devon countryside.

Chough's Nest Hotel is a Victorian building, built in the 1800s. The hotel building is positioned 20 feet (6 metres) above road level and is accessed by a sloped path and a series of steps and a path through the hotel's front garden.

The hotel has three floors: ground floor, first floor and second floor. The hotel does not have a lift. At ground floor level there is a lounge, dining room and outside terrace.

The hotel does not have ground floor bedrooms. The hotel bedrooms are located on the first and second floors. If you require a first floor room, please ask and we will try to accommodate your request as best we can.

The surrounding area is hilly and includes a number of steep paths and roads, most notably Lynmouth Hill and Countisbury Hill both 1:4 (25%) gradients in places.
