More than £40 million of seafood is landed and auctioned each year at Brixham Fish Market, which makes it the highest value catch in England. Buyers include local fishmongers and restaurants, alongside national processors who supply top restaurants and supermarkets. Approximately half of the seafood sold at the auction is exported worldwide.
A tour of the world-famous Brixham Fish Market gives a unique behind the scenes insight while the auction is in action. The tour culminates in a delicious fish breakfast at Rockfish, a restaurant located in the same building as the market. Fish doesn't get any fresher. It's well worth the 6am start!This is a very popular tour and booking early is essential to avoid disappointment. During England's Seafood FEAST there will be additional tours to give you the best chance of taking part.The price of your tour includes breakfast at Rockfish, and proceeds will be donated to the Fishermen's Mission.
