Our 18th Century traditional quayside pub is situated in the picturesque town of Woodbridge in Suffolk.

Vernon Blackmore and the team have now been at the Anchor for ten years, our offer has developed into what we feel a quayside pub should be. Great beers, a friendly warm welcome, food that you would expect in a good British hostelry with additional dishes that reflect our backgrounds and passion.

We want you to feel the history in the Pub so we have been very careful not to remove the old charm and character, the floor tiles may have been professionally cleaned, but they are still a bit wobbly and remind you of the sailors that have spilt beer on them in the past.

Over the years we have managed to forge relationships with our local suppliers to be able to bring you the freshest of ingredients, be it fish off the quayside to strawberries grown just up the road where we get first dibs!

We are now working on developing vegetables grown just for us so we can bring you some of the more unusual and existing Far Eastern product which will complement our famous curries.
However a pub is about people so come and enjoy it with us and let us welcome you in.
