Southwold is a charming seaside town on the Suffolk Heritage Coast.
Almost an island, being bounded by the North Sea to the East, by the River Blyth and Southwold harbour to the South–West and by Buss Creek to the North, there is just the one road in to and out of Southwold, approached through neighbouring Reydon.
With its sandy beach, famous pier, attractive harbour and beach hut-lined promenade, the picturesque seaside town of Southwold is the perfect year-round destination. Local food and drink are an integral part of the Southwold experience and it is home to the world famous Adnams Brewery and Distillery. The town’s lighthouse has been an important landmark for years, guiding vessels into Southwold Harbour, and subject to weather conditions, visitors can take a tour.
