The upper village of Robin Hood's Bay is much flatter than the lower village however, many properties may still have steps into the property. 
Properties in the upper village tend to be Victorian Terraces or much more modern houses. 
The lower village of Robin Hood's Bay is built on a very steep hill down towards the sea. Properties in the lower village are mostly stone built 18th century old cottages with very steep stairs that can twist and be narrow. The streets are cobbled and uneven, many have steps on them or up to them and are narrow in places. You can only drive down a couple of roads in the lower village and all lead to dead ends.
