One of the country's top wildlife spectacles - almost half a million seabirds on towering chalk cliffs, part of the stunning Yorkshire heritage coast
'Perched on top of towering cliffs on the East Yorkshire coast, this award-winning nature reserve is home to one of the UK's top wildlife spectacles. Around half a million seabirds flock here between March and October to raise a family. The star attractions, from April to early August, are the puffins while the UK's largest seabird, the gannet, nests on the ledges until late October. Porpoise and seals can often be seen from the cliff edge viewing platforms along with an increasing number of dolphins and, occasionally minke whales. The Seabird Centre has more information on the wildlife . There's also a well stocked gift shop and a small café. Events and activities take place all year round.'
We are one of the most accessible wildlife experiences. Hard surface paths lead to three key viewing platforms, all with ramp access. The Seabird Centre has flat access and disabled parking bays are immediately adjacent to it. Mobility vehicles can be booked in advance of a visit.
