The Castle at Castle Eden is only a few miles from Durham's Heritage Coast and less than fifteen minutes from Durham City, and sits in over seventeen acres of gardens, woodland and open land.

Large enough to be stately, small enough to be intimate, walking through the doors of The Castle is to feel relaxed and comfortable within one of England’s most unique and beautiful places.

Built in 1760 by Roland Burdon, a Merchant Adventurer, The Castle presently holds ten en suite bedrooms over three floors, with additional non en-suite bedrooms. On the ground floor is a dining room, a stone reception hall, and a substantial glass palm room to the front of the property.

The Castle and grounds can be accessed, save for the palm room, which is closed for winter.
