Discover somewhere beautiful this Autumn in East Yorkshire

With the changing of the season and the falling of the leaves, few places touch the beauty of Danes Dyke, a 148 acre nature reserve on Flamborough headland.

Some of the woodland’s paths are lined with horse chestnut trees, visit in September or October and the floor is carpeted with them! Here you’ll find room to breathe when you’re surrounded by the mountains of golden leaves lining the ground and banks of the ravine; stare up at the canopy of majestic, towering trees, the scenes are spectacular. A walk in the late afternoon or evening with an amble to the shore offers dramatic Autumn skies, as the sun lowers over Bridlington Bay and the waves crash in.

Chilly coastal walks and crisp Autumn air are the perfect excuse to indulge in a seasonal hot chocolate or two. For something a little adventurous try Ruby Soho in Bridlington, who offer a feast of new flavours and always ‘go extra’ on the toppings! Find your perfect hot chocolate cafe spot in East Yorkshire.
