Dating from 1862, The Pier occupies a prime position overlooking the harbour, where the River Stour and River Orwell meet, with views across to Shotley and Felixstowe.

The restaurant specialises in locally landed fish and shellfish, with the harbour just yards away. The Pier is open throughout the day, making it a great spot to enjoy the views as well as a meal.

Accommodation is available across the main building and neighbouring Angel, with 14 en suite bedrooms in total. Each room has its own nautical character and far-reaching views, while the Angel also offers a private sitting room, bar and dining area, making it well suited to group stays.

Sailing trips and seal-watching excursions can also be arranged from the nearby Ha'penny Pier.
